Unter dem Titel Freche Kopie! ist eine kleinformatige (ca. 25x35cm), nummerierte, offene Reihe digitaler Arbeiten auf Leinwand zusammengefasst, in denen Bildausschnitte unterschiedlicher Herkunft zu einer homogenen Bildeinheit verbunden werden.

Das Bildmaterial entstammt einerseits klassischen Gemälden, hier besonders des Barock mit den für diese Epoche typischen dramatisierenden Lichtführungen und andererseits in Printmedien veröffentlichter journalistischer Fotografie und Werbung. Auch für die fotografischen Bildanteile gilt das Auswahlkriterium des "malerischen", d. h. hier dramatischen Lichts.

In digitalen Arbeitsprozessen werden die heterogenen Bildteile motivisch und im Sinne einer einheitlichen Raum- und Oberflächenstruktur verbunden. Dieses Bildergebnis wird in einem weiteren digitalen Arbeitsschritt mit einem Pinselduktus versehen

Nach dem Druck auf Leinwand, wird diese auf Keilrahmen gespannt und erhält abschließend durch den Auftrag einer transparenten Strukturpaste die täuschende Suggestion einer Gemäldeoberfläche.

Der Titel Freche Kopie! markiert einerseits die absichtliche Nachbildung, Täuschung, Überlistung des Betrachters, andererseits signalisiert das Ausrufezeichen bereits die Enttarnung der „Tat“. Die Fälschung ist so offensichtlich, dass jeder Betrachter sie erkennt und somit zwar kurzfristig und inszeniert, dennoch aber das elementare Erlebnis von Wahrnehmungskompetenz genießen kann. Er kann das Unübersehbare disqualifizieren – was ihm in der alltäglichen Bilderflut eher nicht gelingt.

Die konzeptuelle Reihe Freche Kopie! thematisiert die Standardisierung von Information und die manipulative Kommunikation im Bereich des öffentlichen Bildes. Im Fokus steht die Reflexion der Authentizität von Wahrnehmung. Das einzelne Bildmotiv ist von nebensächlicher Bedeutung. Dies kommentiert auch die schematische Nummerierung der einzelnen Stücke.

The title Freche Kopie! (Naughty Copy!) consists of an open series of small format (ca. 25 x 35 cm) and numbered digital works on canvas, that combine sections of images from different sources into a homogeneous unit.

The images derive on one hand from classical, particular Baroque era paintings with their typical dramatic lighting, on the other hand from photography and advertisement published in print media. The selection criterion of the „pictoral“, i. e. the dramatic light, also applies to the photographic image parts.

In digital processes, the different image parts are combined into a consistant space and surface structure. In a next step a digital brush stroke is added to the resulting image.

After printing on canvas, the digital image is mounted on stretcher bars and finished with a transparent paste that falsely suggests the structural surface of an oil painting.

The title Freche Kopie! (Naughty Copy!) marks the deliberate reproduction, deception and duping of the spectator, already the exclamation mark illustrates the unveiling of the „deed“. The forgery is so obvious that everybody can recognize it and so, even for a short time and in a setup – can still enjoy the elementary sensation of competent perception. He can disqualify the obvious – which not often happens in the daily flood of images.

The conceptual series Freche Kopie! (Naughty Copy!) addresses the standardization of information and manipulative communication of the public image. The focus is on reflecting the authenticity of perception. The individual motif of each image is of lesser importance. This is also commented by the schematic numbering of each piece.
